Planning Engineer
Job Objectives:
To develop, monitor, and control project schedules and plans for civil construction projects including road and canal works, ensuring timely execution of all project activities through effective planning, progress tracking, resource coordination, and reporting to support successful project delivery.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare project schedules, work programs, and progress reports.
- Monitor project progress and identify potential delays.
- Review BOQs and assist in quantity estimation and cost control.
- Coordinate with project teams to ensure timely completion of works.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Support project management in planning and execution activities.
- Develop and maintain resource-loaded schedules and assist in resource planning and optimization.
- Prepare manpower, equipment, and material mobilization plans in line with project requirements.
- Assist in preparing extension of time (EOT) claims and delay analysis documentation.
- Maintain and update project planning documentation, registers, and correspondence records.
- Participate in project review meetings and present schedule status to management and clients.
Coordinate with the QA/QC and HSE teams to integrate quality and safety milestones into the schedule.

Qualifications:
- B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficiency in MS Project, Primavera P6, Excel, and other planning tools will be an added advantage.
Years of Experience:
Minimum 2 Years of experience as a Planning Engineer in civil construction projects, with hands-on experience in road construction and canal construction works
Person Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Planning Engineer.
- Experience in road and canal construction projects is mandatory.
- Good knowledge of BOQ (Bill of Quantities) and Quantity Surveying (QS).
- Ability to prepare and monitor project schedules using planning software.
- Experience in project progress tracking, resource planning, and reporting.
- Ability to coordinate with site engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel for reporting and data analysis.
- Proficiency in Hindi and English; Malayalam preferred
