Junior Auditor

Job Objectives:

To assist the Audit Officer in conducting internal audits, verifying financial records, ensuring statutory compliance, and supporting the organization in maintaining strong internal controls and accurate financial reporting.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Assist in planning and executing internal audit assignments across departments.
  • Verify financial transactions, vouchers, ledgers, and journal entries for accuracy and authorization.
  • Check compliance with GST, TDS, PF, ESI, and other applicable statutory regulations.
  • Examine purchase orders, invoices, payment records, and vendor bills for policy adherence.
  • Assist in physical verification of inventory, fixed assets, and store records.
  • Review petty cash, advances, expense claims, and reimbursements for correctness.
  • Identify discrepancies, irregularities, and deviations and report to the Audit Officer.
  • Prepare audit working papers, checklists, and supporting documentation.
  • Draft audit observations and findings for review by the Audit Officer.
  • Follow up on previously raised audit observations and update status records.
  • Assist in coordinating with external auditors and providing required documents.
  • Maintain audit files and records in a systematic and organized manner

Qualifications:

B.Com / M.Com / CA Foundation / CA Inter or equivalent qualification in commerce or finance

Years of Experience:

3 Years of experience in audit, accounts, or finance roles; freshers with CA Inter qualification are welcome

Person Requirements:

  • Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards, and statutory compliance (GST, TDS, PF, ESI).
  • Proficiency in MS Office, especially MS Excel.
  • Familiarity with accounting software such as Tally or SAP is an advantage.
  • High integrity, objectivity, and professional ethics.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reviewing records.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to learn and ability to work under the guidance of senior auditors.
  • Good communication skills in Hindi and English; Malayalam preferred.
